3D worlds exploit social models of how we work in RL. Before you go into a room you get to see who is there, choose who to speak with, have aside/welcome conversations, sit with people you like/know, etc.

Another option: octopz lets you share the 3D object so everyone can manipulate the model car or camera or whatever. Think 3D whiteboard vs. 3D world.
