As soon as he mutes again.
it's Bill.
Mike Pruyn said:
There seems to be some crosstalk of small children on the bridge?
Dan Rockwell said:
I was curious how the reviewer process works? Can you explain more about these folks who review your app concept, and basically have a say on its eventual success or not?
Dan Rockwell said:
thx
Dan Rockwell said:
has anyone run into restrictions in app develop that have come up from apple after you've made the app, following their initial guidelines? like any surprises like oh you cant make that either scenarios?
no official video support from Apple.
Dan Rockwell said:

Nokia 6600 can't run signed J2ME apps. Known bug.
that's right!
William Volk said:
Apple does have a support link on the iTunes catalog for apps
William Volk said:
I have to deal with that, you need to have the fans reply ... not you

William Volk said:
tens of thousands of dollars for a BREW app
William Volk said:
Or Verizon
Nick Desbarats said:
from the user perspective, you're right, it works. i'm looking at it from a developer perspective, wondering whether to go native or web.
William Volk said:
seems to be working, creme floats to the top
Nick Desbarats said:
good point, but discovery is going to be a lot harder when there are 10,000+ applications...
William Volk said:
but how do people find it?
William Volk said:
what's funny is that MEEBO.COM is the best IM for the iPhone and it's a web app
William Volk said:
The issue is discovery
absolutely. It's already happening in my case.
Nick Desbarats said:
hmmm. i wonder if people will get sick of having too many apps on their phone, similar to the way people are wary of installing apps on their PC (preferring to use web apps instead).
yeah - the business of web apps is declining, but I wonder about the use of the wrapped web browser is all.
William Volk said:
yes, native apps can launch the web app, and that makes sense for commerce, help etc.
William Volk said:
Apple has a directory of web apps, it's still there ... but not being featured
William Volk said:
Most of our web traffic came from the Apple iPhone portal, which is now buried on their website
