Sean Ammirati said:
yeah after I asked it --- that hit me as obvious reason
agree. screen size is easy to fix on a large screen device.
Sean Ammirati said:
ok, maybe you can ask it as a wrap up
Steve O'Hear said:
yes
Avi said:
Do you think the Android Application Store will do as well as the Apple App Store ?
Sean Ammirati said:
Steve do you have another question?
Sean Ammirati said:
jump in Alec
and nobody jailbreaks the phone because it has a store.
but fewer than 1% of users download applciations... iPhone excepted
Sean Ammirati said:
we're going to start wrapping this up ... so if anyone listening wants to ask a question just raise your hand (in Calliflower)
Hey - I have a half dozen!

All, post your Twitter or similar so we can see what we are all talking about outside of this call...
Sean Ammirati said:
steve, Richard has a question then you
well hang on... why shouldn't there be an unlocked model for those who want to pay more?
Steve O'Hear said:
i got a question
what part of the carriers exclusionary tactics should we consider as being good for competition? good for consumers?
couldn't have said it better!
benhedrington said:
isn't a "phone" more of a computer at this point?
I just want a fat data pipe on my SIM.
Avi said:
verizon provides openAcess network today, has anyone played with it yet ?
Avi said:
carriers are going to become dumb pipes eventually ...just like cable today !
why isn't it in the interests of everyone to decouple services from transport?
dumb question... why shouldn't the ISPs be a dumb pipe?
benhedrington said:
Did you have to talk to at&t to launch on iphone?
Just edit it out of the call after.
It would take two minutes.
You could do it now if you wanted. Just unmute Steve, marshall, lokeuei etc...
benhedrington said:
How should app developers decide what to support in this fractured world?
Sean Ammirati said:
ok, next time I'll try that
@sean Mute all, and then unmute the people (as many as you like) to continue the conversation.
Sean Ammirati said:
@Alec, is their a setting to have people everyone join as muted and then have me unmute them
@sean Shish is your background noise source now.
Our experiences with carriers have been uniformly negative (a) you can't count on them to deploy the same config on the same devices so off deck is nearly impossible and (b) the terms for getting on deck are egregious and stupid.
benhedrington said:
Does Google Chrome + Android give GOOG a leg up in the game?
did you try writing SW for Windows in 84? It was no picnic either!
Sean Ammirati said:
Ben Hendrington - Feel free to introduce yourself and jump in
Improved now. The culprit was smith...
You can hear the background noise.
@Sean Ammirati - someone has an open speaker phone, or is using a PC without a headset to participate (Skype or something like that).
benhedrington said:
sure
benhedrington said:
Native eventually means spywar/viruses if we look at PC world right?
Sean Ammirati said:
@Alec Saunders - any ideas where the echo is coming from?

Pandora rocks... but you all know that... :)
benhedrington said:
Do you guys believe functionality will emerge through the Mobile web browser that will allow device independence akin to the regular web?
Steve O'Hear said:
