Shouldn't VoIP be perfect for delivering more media and information to than just plain 911? The problems facing the VoIP service provider is the issues of bringing the new into the old paradigm. Rick Jones of National Emergency Number Association joins Jim Kohlenberger and Carl Ford in discussing the current market. The expectation is to have other participants who can share their first hand implementation issues across the globe.

Absolutely right - the mission should be to give the citizen in the street as many ways to get to the emergency services in as rich a mode as possible. POTs is a very limiting medium compared with some of the mode modern and efficient (and robust) modes of communication
