Agenda
Headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, Voxbone provides worldwide DID numbers and toll-free phone numbers over its own private intercontinental network. The all-IP architecture of the Voxbone core network enables customers to rapidly deploy new communications services with local presence, while simultaneously reducing costs. It delivers high-quality call origination from 45 countries and 5,000 cities and provides the global infrastructure that enables its customers to expand to international markets quickly and efficiently.

Voxbone is a member of the ITU and part of the study group that is responsible for numbering standardization around the world.

Today (Nov. 11) Voxbone is announcing a new service that totally makes geography irrelevant when it comes to global calling. To quote our guest, Voxbone CEO Rodrigue Ullens, "We believe the new geography is defined by the markets, customers and vendors that businesses need to connect with most. We need ‘local’ communication with these people—whether calls originate on public-switched or VoIP networks, whether they are truly local or ‘virtually’ local.”

Come, join us on this SquawkBox call for "the rest of the story"!

Thanks, Jim & Rod! Interesting call!!

Dan...did I miss it or was it not answered... how difficult is it to get them to agree to the routing? And what sort of time frame are we looking before it's standard?

Thanks Randy!

irony: "alwaysoncarl"
Dan York said:
Carl - No, it's not yet supported by international switches. The allocation of numbers was made by the ITU last month. Now Voxbone has to basically go around to all the various carriers and get them to route the +883 country code.

Is there a list of who is doing lookups in the current providers?
Dan York said:
Jim - your audio quality is fading in and out.

Re. Document Sharing... we're having a problem with our licence key for the Flash media server. We are currently limited to 10 connections. This is why some users are being rejected. Hoping to have the issue resolved soon.
