How do I make it into the conference?
Are we not supposed to see the Freedom Wireless 5192 Headset?
Interesting! It's being the first time to join in this talk. Thanks
Thanks!!
I suppose the simple solution is to get a 2.5 to 3.5 mm adapter
Thanks for the call
My Nokia E71 has a 2.5mm jack - would love to be able to use this product with this interface
Now just "The Shack" ...
3.5 mm!
Modelling knife Alec?
Mike -- would love to have the headphone jack trimmed to fit my 1st gen iPhone.
Yep, thats the test. In my bag on the road!
Thanks Jim & Alec for an interesting presentation and Jim for your generous offer!
Jim: I sent you my mailing address. Thx much.
E-mailing you now Jim!
Skype OUT will not pass it, it'll be negotiated down to G.xxx
Thank you Jim!
You won't get a SILK call to a cell phone
It's not open source, but it's licensed at $0
Even Skype for Asterisk is not open source
no
silk isn't open source, is it?
By Jason! Thanks for coming.
have to sign off of the phone call. Thanks all.
Will SILK be offered in the Skype for SIP or Skype for Asterisk projects?
Jim, if you want to test it later, let me know.
Randall, you can plug the headset portion into the iPhone
Randall, technically possible - but the manufacturer would have to embed the codec.. hopefully Apple and other will do it..
Can you use for SILK quality on mobile clients like iPhone?
People will be comfortable buying this from Skype, so it will further penetration of high quality voice calling
ROFL!! That's a helluva offer!
Ah - free headset? Good reason to change!
jim.courtney@dicx.com
the headset also works on Linux.. the driver is universal which is quite cool.
I use a Logitech USB headset at present - why should I change?
Yeah -- I get what you're saying Michael.
Its another piece of the puzzle Alec.. the more people you can get up and running easily and quickly. the better
I prefer "wideband telephony" or "wideband voice"
Curios how the term HDVoice is becoming universal when it's someones registered trademark.
Sorry for being complex Alec - too many variables!
That makes it tough to diagnose James. UK POTS we don't have a problem to that POP.
thanks for coming Dan!
Very cool stuff... I've got to drop off to go to another meeting, but it's great to see things like this coming out.
VoIP using Finera
james - how are you dialing into that Monmouth pop?
Why 12 kHz and not 16 kHz sampling?
PSTN & G.711 bridge kills the effect of the headset
I would like to see both 2.5 and 3.5 mm jacks
